Wednesday 🚌 PreK 3’s & 4’s to Adair County Fair 🐐 Super Showman show @ Adair County Fair Friday ♥️ Grandparent’s Day Breakfast, 7:30-8:15 AM. Invite your grandparents or if needed, an important adult to join your child for breakfast.

RMS Families We have been made aware of a popular social media post involving the “Cat in the Hat” who supposedly makes lists of schools to visit in order to lurk around, be creepy and/or initiate violence. We take any statement or social media content involving the safety of our students and staff seriously. School administration is aware of the situation, and we have been in contact with proper authorities concerning this trend. In addition, we discussed with the 5th - 8th grade students topics of school safety, dangers of social media, boundaries using the internet, and telling a trusted adult when they see or hear something that they question when it concerns safety. Out of an abundance of caution, the sheriff's office will be doing extra patrols at all schools. We appreciate their partnership. Please remind your child not to share, repost, comment on, or create similar content. If the see or hear something, report it to an adult. Sharing these posts can create unnecessary fear and cause disruption to learning. We will continue to follow our daily procedures and routines in order to keep all of our RMS students, staff and community members safe. Thank you for your continued trust in our school. RMS 5th grade 🚌 5th grade will be going to Stilwell Depot tomorrow at noon for a historical presentation and will return before school is dismissed. They will not need anything in order to go.

RMS K, T-1, 1st, 2nd 📚 This year our K - 2nd students will be using a program named Waterford Early Learning. In order to obtain this free of charge for our students, I have signed our students up in order to be a part of a study showing how WEL helps children build early literacy and math skills. 📚 Your child is bringing home a paper today that explains the program and contains an optional opt-out form. 📚 I encourage you to allow your child to participate so that we as a school can also gain valuable insights into the effectiveness of this program. 📚 If you want your student to participate, you do not need to do anything. If you do not want them to participate in the study, simply complete the opt-out form in the packet or through the QR code provided on the paperwork. 😊 We look forward to providing this program to our students this year and watch our students success.

RMS 7th/8th grade 🇺🇸Parent information meeting for May 2027 Washington DC trip will be Tuesday September 1st, 6:00 PM in the cafeteria.

🥎 RMS 5/6 softball has left Maryetta and are returning to school. Anyone not picked up when they arrive will report to Boys and Girls Club.

RMS August 24-28 Reminder!!!! School hours are 8:00-3:10. Late or leave early is a tardy. Three tardies equal and absence. Ten absences is referral for truancy court. Friday 🍿 Concession Athletic Practice and Game schedule attached.

🥎 RMS Softball vs Maryetta today has been POSTPONED until August 28th at 1:00 and 2:00. No game today.

RMS Families 🙌🏼 We have electricity at school. We will have school tomorrow!! I know several still do not have electric. Having school will help to get kids fed and kept cool. 💦 Anyone without electric can come to the gym this evening from 5:00-7:00 PM to take a shower. Bring your own soap/shampoo and towels. 💙 A HUGE THANK YOU to Rocky Mountain Staff, Fire Departments, Ozark Electric, County Commisioner's staff, Cherokee Nation Emergency Management, Adair County Sheriff's office, many individuals and many more for all their efforts with storm damage.

RMS Families UPDATE 💙 I want to take a moment to brag on RMS Staff! They worked seamlessly in order to keep your children calm and safe in the face of the storm. 💙 Thank you parents for being patient and showing grace in a safety situation for your children. 💙 Thank you to all the entities who worked to clear roads and continue to work to restore power. ‼️ I just received word from Ozark's electric that we will not have power tomorrow at school. Therefore, we will not be having school tomorrow.

RMS Update There is a one-way trail off of Highway 100 where you turn at the old Johnson store past Mountain View meats. If you drive carefully and with extreme caution, you can get to the school. Buses cannot go anywhere, but students are safe at school. Come pick up your children as you can do so in a safe manner
